Wow it's been a while since my last update.
My semester at HKU is almost to an end,
been busy with many assessments.
This will be a quick, yet long, post over the short two months since my last update @Macao.
Mostly consisting of pictures,
...because words can not describe how I felt during the time, or because I'm too darn lazy to type...errr I mean busy! :)
I shall begin with Halloween.
This was one of the best (and my personal favourite) costumes I saw during the Halloween walk-parade in Hong Kong.

Since Halloween back in Australia is not so much celebrated, I was very excited to attend the festive event.
And I gotta tell ya'll...
It was great, more than great!

They looked soooo realistic and so were their actions,
they were in character the whole time,
groaning and pretending to attack you,
it was frightening and amazing at the same time lol
...and they didn't bite ;)

Due to the lack of time, I didn't really get to hire a costume, nor did I have the time to figure of something brilliant.
I ended up just buying a army-camouflage shirt,
which is versatile to wear even after Halloween,
and matched it with my dark green pants and leather boots.
Obviously went as a army chick :D
I honestly don't remember taking this picture...
...but I like it.
Looking at the time stamp of 4.27am,
I am pretty sure this was at a club,
where I might've had few to drink.
Classy.

Actually the colour was fading already,
I just removed a few more at the beds to make 'em appear more distorted, topped it of with a clear coat.
There were also plenty of spooky decor.
...and candy, oh so much candy...

Near by was a club called "BILLIONS", it's located at LKF, a very popular clubbing scene in Hong Kong's nightlife.

This was also my first club that I went to, it was very crowded and hot. But also fun because I had my friends there :)

I don't really know why many people like to go clubbing, it's loud, full of creepers, and everyone is grinding on one another...not my scene but it's Halloween so why not?
For the following few days, I went clubbing every night,
and slept during the day.
eek...IT'S BAD, I KNOW
Tho it wasn't the same club every time,
since LKF is a party like zone,
we actually bounced from one club to another.
It was interesting to see the popularity of certain clubs,
and the persona it gave off.
On the last day of that week was my birthday,
and my friends took me to at least 3 different clubs,
I had a really wonderful time.
...Until I had too much to drink...
But that's another story :D

After that, the weeks have been pretty chill,
trying to recover over the fun week was exhausting.
But I feel so much better now.
I am glad that I got to experience it.
I also got my hair coloured.
It was supposed to be bright red,
but every time I hit the showers it fades.
...2nd week result...

Everything has been steady, so far enjoying HK at its best.
It was a time where I finally relaxed and started to enjoy what HK had to offer.
I even took some time to draw.
But that did not last very long.
I gave it up the next morning,
my intentions of exploring HK was too darn high.
It was perfect timing too,
because one of my friends back at home was doing some traveling at the time and was able to meet up with me.

HK is really a magical place,
last week was exceptionally beautiful.
I was asleep most of the daylight, just waking up to purple-pink skies was so surreal.
At first I though I was trippin', but as the sun set, the night became...

When in HK, it is also ideal to try out some local dishes.
I haven't been taking many pictures of food. I feel like I am not the type of asian who frequently does this, I'ld often would take a bite first before realising that I need to take a snap to show back at home.
I forgot the name to this place but it was a very popular.
Even tho the place appeared small and a bit run-downed, the place was packed with many locals.
Plus you know when the food is good in terms of price and tastes, when a line starts to form.
Me and a some friends went to try hotpot and a variety of clay-pot styled dishes. It was delicious.
Okay.. so this might not be local, but I was craving pizzas and especially cheese. For some odd reason, cheese in HK supermarkets does not taste the same as they do back home. But usually restaurants would stock on good cheese, and a slice of pizza at "Ebeneezer's" was perfect.
I was also craving ice-cream.
If you don't know me yet, I am actually a big fan of ice-cream.
I eat it almost everyday.
GUILTY
Green Tea ice-cream seems to be very popular in Hong Kong.
(Well, almost any asian country)
So make sure you try it :D
Hong Kong is also a very unique place, with many street stalls hidden in alleyways.
...but first, I want to show you this picture above.
Hong Kong seems to be in constant renovation, it was interesting to see construction workers use bamboo to support some of the structures, instead of protection support steel.
It reminded me of a scene from "Rush Hour", when Lee and Carter were chasing the bad guys before being pushed to the edge, clinging onto the bamboo.
In which Lee shouts, "Don't worry, Chinese Bamboo is very strong."
yep. that is all.
...back to Hong Kong being a mysterious place with hidden stalls.
I came across a narrow street called Wing Kut.
To my surprise, it was a hidden street stall.
In my eyes, BARGAIN PARADISE.
Note: My photo taking skills is not so good.
But I think I have captured this street well (^_^)/
My favourite store in this street would have to be:
"SHAK SHAK IMITATION JEWELLERY"
It was filled with soooo many accessories,
ranging from earrings to watches, and pretty bows to hair-ties.
I also snagged a few bargains when shopping for clothes too, but perhaps this could be another post of its own.
I can smell a OOTD post near by.
While in Hong Kong, it is also good to take some time to check out your surroundings.
Especially when life gets busy, it is good to have a "one-on-one" time to yourself, to think over a few things or to simply relax.
In HK there are many aerial walkways connected to shopping malls and other buildings. I often visit these places to watch the busy city go by. But perhaps you prefer somewhere that is not so busy, a place with less traffic...
The Macau Ferry Terminal is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy slightly fresher air than the aerial walkways :P
and if you get really bored, why not take a spontaneous trip to Macau?
While these places are just a few minutes away from me, I often prefer visiting the rooftop of my dorm.
This picture was taken at 3.00 to 4.00am in the morning.
You'll be surprised to see that the lights are still lit.

| HK is a place where no one sleeps. |
But I think I was a bit too relaxed and chilled.
I have about less than two weeks before I set off to my next adventure in Taiwan, Korea, and China.
mmm...enjoying my warm cup of tea before I head off to bed.
I will try find some time to blog about my experiences overseas-overseas when I get back.
Or blog on the go, which ever is convenient :)
