Updates and Quick Sketch

Trying my best to keep up with blogging.

Last night I was officially accepted to study abroad to Hong Kong (although I was accepted a while ago), I will be attending The University of Hong Kong and I will be staying there for about a semester.

Hence the reason why I started this blog page, it was just to note some of the encounters and activities that I will be experiencing overseas, just like a personal diary, so apologies in advance if things don't make sense from time to time.

And most of all to let my friends and family know that I am doing okay!

 :)

During my pre-depature meeting I was able to meet new students (who will also be traveling to HK) and gained loads of information about my studies and accommodation there. Although I'm still questioning where I should live for the coming months, because the university actually provides many students a range of accommodations, from Halls to College Dorms. I'm quite lazy at times, so i've been thinking of something on campus, something walking distance LOL

However prior to the meeting, there was a student strike going on at my university, so barely anyone attended class, thus I had plenty of time to kill (the meeting was at 6.30pm-8pm)

I should have gotten some research done or started on my essay (which is due in a few days time) but instead I decided to draw. tsk tsk*

I don't know if you can see it or not... just some quick line work before colours

tho I had to leave it for my meeting...

after arriving home, I wanted to add more details...

but I got lazy colouring the next 5 mins, so I just left it as it was, still looks good right.. haha

Thats all for now...

till my departure, then i'll bombard this blog page more often with HK things.

Art is my Escape!

Nearing towards the end of the semester I'm often bombarded with assignments, and tests... However I'm always put off by the idea of studying, hence the aftermath of an all-nighter, the zombie dreaded look the next morning  *arghhh*

This might just be me as exams are nearing the corner too, but then again, I think most of us are like this during the final weeks of study hahah...

Turning to art, I find it much easier to escape my busy uni life, and sometimes my everyday activities...

This may seem like a bad thing, ok I know its a bad thing...but I do see some good out of it.

For starters, I've noticed that leaving my assignments to the last minute has allowed me to work harder and even better some might say, tho I haven't noticed any changes in my grades, it's still pretty high *smirks* and I haven't failed..yet.

Secondly, I get to draw. LOL
I've noticed a change in my artworks, as I'm always experimenting, and trying new forms of doing things which has greatly boosted my skills.

The only downfall to this is the lack of sleep I get, i often feel tired, hence my quietness at times, and zoning out during lectures and seminars. I've also noticed that I've been drinking more coffee ...

Don't know if that's a good thing or bad, but seriously the stuffs addictive...

...and I'm starting to get real good at making them too: Coffee with Cream and Chocolate! Yummmm

But back to the point, here are the artworks i managed to briefly work on during the past week.

Gundam Line Art

Don't know what I was doing here, lets just say i was practicing my rendering skills with pencils, in attempt to create a 3D-anime character, yes.. lets go with that :)

Well thats all i have to say today, going to leave it here on an awkward cut...
Procrastination at its best LOL
